IHM
Meerut popularly known in the Hospitality world came into
existence twenty years ago on 25th of September 1987, with the
main objective of spreading the hospitality education, training
and awareness to the masses. To-day IHM Meerut has acquired a very
prestigious position in the hospitality industry as a trusted
source of education. Though the hospitality education in India is
just half a century old but only in the recent past has spread and
gained a much needed momentum in its status of education. As the
changes keep taking place in any field anywhere so does with the
hospitality industry. Keeping in mind the need and demand for
skilled professionals, IHM Meerut took initiative introducing and
offering various unique, innovative and relevant Degree / Diploma
courses and thus creating a thrust making hospitality education
more relevant as required world over today.
Whereas employment opportunities in the profession of hospitality,
tourism and allied industries have already lured and created
attractive reputation in the minds of youths of to-day. Thus
providing a right foundation of education and training to our
prospective, talented students who may be retained in the industry
which will prove to be a great help towards growth and development
of hospitality and tourism industry that too at the international
level as well.
The prospective aspirants of today are getting more and more
serious and sincere about the right education and training along
with leadership opportunities in the industry which I believe is
substantial evidence to indicate that future and potential of this
discipline is bright indeed. The variety and opportunity the
industry offers is more than enough for the motivation and to
accept the challenges of this dynamic field.

skills, and thus holds an excellent placement record. The
