Boys' & Girls' Hostels
Hostel offers clean and comfortable living conditions in
environmental friendly atmosphere. Every student in the room
is provided with single bed, study table, chair and a
cupboard. 24 hour power supply, running hot & cold water,
filtered cold drinking water, and incoming telephone call
facilities are also available.
It is mandatory for all first year male students to stay in
the hostel. It is mandatory for all female students (except
whose parents reside in Meerut) to stay in the hostel for
entire duration of study. With a concern for a safer location
for girls, the girls' hostel is located downtown and free
transportation from the hostel to the institute is provided.
All hostellers need to be a member of the mess in the hostel.
First year students will be provided double/triple occupancy
rooms only.
Payment of hostel fees may be remitted by a separate demand
draft in favour of IHM Meerut, payable at Meerut.
Hostel Discipline
To look after the welfare of students and ensure discipline an
Ex-Army officer as hostel warden is always available at the
hostel. Students have regular counselling session with hostel
warden to motivate them for a better performance.
No student should stay away from his/her room during the night
except with prior written permission of the warden.
All visitors including parents/guardians must be entertained
only in the visitors lounge and during visiting hours only.
Students Mess
Large enough to accommodate 250 persons at a time. Ventilation
designed to meet extreme climatic conditions. Well laid out
with stainless steel tables to meet international standards.
Cafeteria serves cold drinking water filtered with latest RO
technique & maintains hygienic conditions for cooking &
serving of food.
Student's Canteen
‘Rendezvous'....but only when time permits. Students' canteen
is set with an ethnic touch. Students' canteen is well
equipped to provide snacks and light tidbits in breaks and in
leisure time.
Transportation
IHM
Meerut has a fleet of buses and for road safety reasons, it is
compulsory for all day boarders to avail institute
transportation.
Gymnaslum
& Fitness Centre
Healthy mind needs healthy body and this requirement is met by
the ‘BodyLine’ gym fitted with latest equipments for building
& toning of muscles & maintaining good health.
T.T. Hall & Games Room
A
separate hall ‘Olympic’ with table tennis tables offers ideal
conditions for a game of table tennis. Many other indoor games
like carom, chess etc. are provided for
Badminton & Basket Ball Courts
Badminton courts enclosed from all the four sides and
suitable to play in most of the weather conditions. Basket
ball courts are an ideal place for a game and to develop team
work and healthy
T.V. & Video Theatre
To
keep abreast with the latest activities around the world and
for a healthy entertainment a well-furnished room, ‘Regal
Room’ with a latest model of T.V. & D.V.D. player set has been
exclusively provided for the students. Also students can
browse through local & national, newspapers & magazines in the
lounge.
Extra Curricular Activities
For the mental as well as physical development of the
students, various extra curricular activities are arranged in
the institute in which the students are given exposure to
inculcate and develop in themselves certain qualities in the
fields of debate, quiz, games & sports, extempore speech,
inter college competition, visits etc. The experts who are
specialists in their respective fields such as human
psychology, personality development etc. are invited to
interact with the students. They develop qualities in the
students to face the interviews and group discussion sessions
with better confidence during placements and also in their
professional life. Besides these activities some cultural
events are also held at the time of institution's foundation
day, fresher's day, and farewell parties to give opportunities
to students to show their talents in the field of performing
